Sol Duc Falls at Olympic National Park

Cat 14 July 2020

Sol Duc Falls is located in the northern part of Olympic National Park. Park at the end of the road, passing a hotel and multiple campsites. Since the trail is 1.6 miles round trip, this trail is quite popular and also very family friendly. While the trail isn’t crowded, it is possible to find pockets of solitude to enjoy the old-growth forest. The roar of the waterfalls can be heard long before seeing it. On reaching the large bridge, look across to check out the waterfall and capture some wonderful photos! Continue along the bridge to capture the waterfall from many more multiple angles.

Olympic National Park: Sol Duc Falls
Duration: 1 hour
Difficulty: easy
Length: 1.6 miles round trip
Danger: some roots and rocks on trail
Exposure: mostly shaded
Crowd factor: moderately high

Happy travels!

About

Hi!
I’m Catherine, but you can call me Cat!
Welcome to my blog where I write about two of my loves: travel and food. Let’s ingest all those calories and spend it all on exploration. (Now you know what Catlories means!)
Happy eating and happy travels!
Cheers,
Cat
