Outdoor Gear
- Backpacking Boots: Lowa Renegade GTX Mid Hiking Boots (Most comfortable and fits my size 7 narrow feet really well)
- Hiking Shoes: Brooks Cascadia Trail-Running (Surprising find at REI garage sale)
- Snack Bars: GoMacro (Flavorful without any of that awful protein taste)
- Hiking Day Pack: Osprey Daylite Travel Pack (Holiday gift)
- Backpacking Pack: Osprey Ariel AG 65 (First rented this pack in college and has been so reliable that I bought my own)
- Trekking Poles: Black Diamond Trail Ergo Cork Trekking Poles (Splurged so I could get cork for my sweaty hands!)
- Sunscreen: Thinksport Sunscreen and Blue Lizard Sunscreen (Both are reef safe!)
Clothing
- Windbreaker:聽Marmot Precip Jacket聽(Link is for the latest Eco version as the version I have is outdated)
- Mid-layer jacket:聽The North Face Thermoball Hoodie聽(Link is for the jacket version, which I plan to get or something similar when I retire the hoodie)
- Snow jacket:聽Norrona lofoten Gore-Tex Jacket聽(Was worried about the splurge, but features turned out to be better than I had expected)
Archived Gear
- Hiking Boots:聽Vasque Boots (Don’t remember the model or style. The boots served me very well through numerous hiking and backpacking adventures, but I wanted a boot that was more snug)
- Backpack:聽The North Face Recon聽(I bought this back in 2009 and will occasionally use it more during winter/fall when I pack more items. I bought a new one in 2020 that is mainly a commuting backpack for my day job)
- Sunscreen: Badger (I did have this as a contender when I was testing out sunscreens, but I didn’t like the white residue it left everywhere including my skin, backpack, clothes and car steering wheel)
